Technology education

Following a general education in Seconde (Year 11), pupils can choose one of the technology options. These allow students to pursue higher education in technology after their baccalaureate, with course options including BTS, DUT, etc.

Two technology options are available at Lycée Albert I:

STI2D Option: Industrial Sciences and Technologies and Sustainable Development Baccalaureate, Energy and Environment Option

This option combines a general education (French, history, geography, mathematics, languages) with industrial technologies and enables pupils to acquire a scientific understanding through practical activities. Observation, experimentation and systems simulation are a feature of this option.

STMG Option: Management Sciences and Technologies Baccalaureate

This technological baccalaureate combines a general education (French, history, geography, mathematics, languages) with technology (law, economics, management, accounting, business, communication, finance, human resources). It allows pupils to prepare for the economic and legal aspects of business, and provides an introduction to a full range of management, accounting, sales and communication techniques.

The school offers three baccalaureates in the STMG Option:

  • TMG Baccalaureate, marketing option
  • TMG Baccalaureate, human resources option
  • TMG Baccalaureate, management and finance option
